How to Calculate Percentage of Marks for Multiple Subjects
To find your overall percentage across several subjects, first add up the marks you obtained in all subjects, then add up the total possible marks for all subjects, and divide the two: Overall Percentage = (Sum of Marks Obtained ÷ Sum of Total Marks) × 100.
For example, for 5 subjects each out of 100, with scores of 85, 78, 92, 88, and 76, the total obtained is 419 out of a possible 500: (419 ÷ 500) × 100 = 83.8%. This same method works whether you have 5, 6, 7, or any number of subjects, as long as you add both the obtained and total marks correctly.
